Good morning and welcome to Sketch Sunday. Recently, the PageMaps blog has been hosting sketch challenges. This week’s sketch was for a Scrapdango prize pack.

The sketch was designed on a 8 1/2 x 11 scale, so I decided to stay with those dimensions. However, it can easily be adpated to 12 x 12. When you’re adapting a sketch, you have serveral options. Some scrappers design the page as an 8 1×2 x 11, then mount it to a piece of 12 x 12 cardstock and add some doodling or stitching to the outside edges of the paper. Another options is to expand the design across the page. Check out the submissions on the PageMaps blog for examples of these styles.

Here is my layout. It’s in honor of my son. Friday was his 2nd birthday.

I exclusively used Sassafras Lass products for the page. I had a lot of fun combining patterned papers with stickers, chipboard and border strips. This sketch is a great chance to “scrap your stash!”
