Featured Seller: Ambroisa Designs
I’m thrilled to introduce you to a newly opened shop on Etsy, Ambrosia Designs! Amber is here to chat to us about her shop and her inspirations.
1. Hi Amber! I’m so happy you’ve agreed to be our featured Etsy seller for November. Can you tell me how long Ambrosia Designs has been open, and what made you decide to open your own shop?
Ambrosia Designs was started back in 2007, but I just recently started seriously listing items in October of this year (2009). I decided to open my own shop because my craft room is overflowing with things I’ve made…I need to share them somehow! I’m constantly having ideas for unique scrapbooking embellishments, gift ideas, and home décor and hope to continue adding to the store!

2. You sent me some beautiful embellishments. What are your best sellers?
Well, currently, I don’t have a best Etsy seller, however, I have sold many of my flower hair clips at group outings with great success. My etsy shop is the first experimentation in scrapbooking embellishments, but they are quite possibly my favorite thing to make, so I’m hoping they will become my best sellers!!
{embellishments: paper flowers, foam leaves and button with metal back are all from Ambroisa Designs}
3. Your shop has a great assortment scrapbooking items. Do you have a personal favorite creation?
I think my current favorite scrapbooking item is my Fall Fun Embellishment line. I have several new items in the works, including butterfly embellishments, flower embellishments, and brightly colored star embellishments that I hope to have in the shop in the next few weeks, and I must admit, I’m really loving them too! I love all things fall, though, which is probably why I love the Fall Fun Embellishment line so much!

4. I can see a touch of femininity in your creations. Where do you get your inspiration from?
I’m inspired by all sorts of places, but I’m especially fond of all things girly: lace, scallop edging, flowers, and vintage touches. J.Crew’s feminine touches and Martha Stewart’s clean-but-soft style are two of my favorite sources for inspiration, color schemes, and more. Some of my inspiration comes from the products I use, too! Scrapbooking papers and products are so innovative and beautiful, and often I will use a sheet of patterned paper I love or some brads that are really cute to jump-start an idea for a product.

Thanks so much for having me as a featured seller!
